Concert Tickets: Thrice, The Used, Silverstein and more

Here in the greater Los Angeles area it’s too hot to move. The last few days I’ve felt like one of those cold-blooded reptiles who moves as little as possible to conserve precious energy. A reptile who only emerges for food or the occasional Franz Ferdinand concert (by the way, Hollywood Palladium: how about a little more AC? It felt like bouncing up-and-down in a sauna last night).

Anywho, stay inside this weekend, drink plenty of water and buy some concert tickets. Like these…

Thrice/ Dear Hunter/ Polar Bear Club

Following a brief stint opening for their good friends Brand New, Thrice has announced a three week headlining tour in support of their upcoming “Beggars” release. The tour begins November 15th in Pittsburgh and runs through December 4th in San Diego and includes two hometown dates at the House of Blues in Anaheim, CA. The Dear Hunter and Polar Bear Club open up all dates and tickets begin pre-sale this weekend. You can find all dates here.

Silverstein/ Madina Lake/ I See Stars/ The Word Alive

Hardcore-tinged punkers Silverstein have announced a fall east coast tour with Madina Lake, I See Stars and The Word Alive opening. The tour begins in Winooski, VT (which is apparently lovingly known as “Onion City” (find more info on beautiful Winooski here) on October 28th and comes to an end on November 14th in Sayreville, NJ. The King Khan & BBQ Show

Eclectic rock band The King Khan & BBQ Show has announced a month and a half fall tour of North America. The Canadian band will head out on October 28th to Northampton, MA and circle the country before coming to an end on December 5th in Ottawa, ON. The Grand Archives

Indie rockers The Grand Archives will traverse the highways and bi-ways of North America with a coast to coast US and Canada tour this fall. The tour begins September 22nd in San Francisco, CA and runs through Canada and the Northeast before coming to an end on October 23rd. Tickets are on sale now and you can find all dates here.

The Bouncing Souls/ Bayside/ Broadway Calls

Seminal East Coast (f-you!) punk rockers The Bouncing Souls have announced more dates for the ongoing “20th Anniversary Tour” celebrating their 20th… well, you get the picture. The west coast heavy tour begins October 21st in Seattle, WA and runs through November 7th in Detroit, MI. The tour features multi-night stands in San Francisco and Los Angeles. Bayside and Broadway Calls open all dates. Tickets go on sale this weekend and you can find all dates here.

The Dropkick Murphys

Red Sox- centric punk rockers The Dropkick Murphys have announced a two and a half week fall tour. The bagpipe-tinged band begin their tour in Anaheim, CA on November 4th and runs through November 21st in Burlington, VT (Vermont is popular today). The Used

The Used have announced a fall tour in support of their upcoming “Artwork” release with The Almost and Drive A opening. The tour beings October 9th in Las Vegas, NV and runs until November 14th in Portland, OR. You can find dates here and all tickets go on sale this weekend.
