foo fighters Foo Fighters Greatest Hits To Feature Two New Songs

The Foo Fighters will celebrate their 15th anniversary with the release of the cleverly-titled Foo Fighters Greatest Hits on Nov. 3, the band’s first ever greatest hits compilation. Dave Grohl and the boys are even including two new songs with the hits collection – “Wheels” and “Word Forward.”

No official track-list is out, but “The Pretender,” “All My Life,” “Learn To Fly,” “Best Of You,” “Times Like These,” “My Hero” and “Everlong” will be part of Greatest Hits, according to Billboard.com.

The band debuted “Wheels” in Washington, DC, over July Fourth weekend, when they performed at the USO’s bash honoring military heroes.

The ‘best of’ album will have fans wondering about a tour, but right now the guys are off doing their own thing; Dave Grohl is working with Led Zeppelin’s John Paul Jones and Josh Homme of Queens of the Stone Age in Them Crooked Vultures, whose debut album is due out in October.

Bassist Nate Mendel is touring with the reunited Sunny Day Real Estate.

Mendel said to Billboard.com that the group’s hiatus is “….kind of open-ended. We were pretty much planning to take this year off and start writing. This fall or winter we’ll probably start writing new Foo Fighters stuff.”

Hard to believe it’s been 15 years since the Foo Fighters released their self-titled debut album. But 6 platinum-plus albums and numerous Grammys later the Alt.-rock, post-grunge band has crafted themselves one helluva a successful run.

Here’s to 15 more good years.

Is there a specific Foo Fighters song you’d like to see on their greatest hits?
