Noel Gallagher Leaves Oasis After 18 Years!

Breaking news everybody, Noel Gallagher has decided to leave the band Oasis after 18 years. This is not a drill, he officially announced today that he would no longer continue with the group. According to Guardian, the artist left a statement on the band’s website claiming that he was quitting tonight. If you’ve followed Oasis throughout their careers I’m pretty sure you know why he’s leaving.

In Noel’s official statement, his reason for leaving the band has to do with his brother Liam.
“It’s with some sadness and great relief to tell you that I quit Oasis tonight. People will write and say what they like but I simply could not go on working with Liam a day longer. Apologies to all the people who bought tickets to the shows in Paris Konstanz and Milan.”
Surprise! They hate each other, we get it. This isn’t the first time these two have gone at it. The break up doesn’t come as a surprise to those of us who have been privy to their onstage antics and public fights. As I write this post, I’m listening to their song “Champagne Supernova,” and it makes me feel a combination of anger and sadness.
You have two extremely talented individuals who are poison to one another personally, but make some of the most beautiful music I’ve ever heard. I’m not sure what the final straw was to make Noel leave the band. It must have been pretty bad for him to actually call it quits. On that note, I want to leave you with one of my favorite Oasis tunes. I think this song is fitting for the occasion.
