Mastodon Scores Jonah Hex Film

Mastodon has never been a quiet group of guys. In fact, they are they are one of the loudest (as in fame and noise) metal bands out there.

We also just got word that they are scoring a film – the Jonah Hex film, to be exact. According to Ain’t It Cool News, Mastodon have been quite busy chipping away on music for the film.

When asked about how the sound is, their reply was simply: “Needless to say, pretty heavy!” Enough said.

Although we’re pretty stoked about Karen O and Arcade Fire‘s involvement in Where The Wild Things Are, the Jonah Hex film will definitely have a massively striking score in comparison!

We’re not complaining though. We love it when musicians in the main realm get to do some inside work for the film industry. Music and film go hand and hand and when artists we love enhance our soon-to-be favorite movies, we’ll always be stoked!
