  • Tigercity | Friday, September 4 | 8:00 pm | $10 | 21+ | Mercury Lounge, New York, NY – Map | Every now and then a band comes along that incites feelings of being young and carefree, even in its twenty-something fans. Audience goers this evening can take a drink from the fountain of youth with the Brooklyn-based band’s take on eighties pop and rock a la Tears for Fears.   • The Happy Hollows | Friday, September 4 | 9:00 pm | $8 | Spaceland, Los Angeles, CA – Map | We’d like to create a new genre for The Happy Hollows: excitable rock. Attend their release party for their new CD, “Spells” and experience a band working it fun and flirtatiously, like the Yeah Yeah Yeahs (read: without regret).
