More Beatles In Mono to Come

More than likely you missed out on The Beatles in Mono limited edition collection because it sold out at most U.S. Web retailers before its actual release date, of September 9th. But don’t worry my fellow Beatleheads, EMI Music has announced that it is extending the production run of the Fab Four’s holy grail, according to Variety.
The 13-CD box set was suppose to be limited to 10,000 copies, but due to the huge demand more are on their way. However, unlike the upcoming stereo remasters of The Beatles albums, which will be sold individually, the mono versions will only be available only as a box set.
It’s unknown how many more copies will be put into production, but it’s better to be safe than sorry. If a massive sell out happened once, it can happen again. Get your hands on one of those mono limited edition versions fast!

If the music-centered event that Steve Jobs has scheduled for that same day (09/09/09) is partially to announce that The Beatles will now become available on the iTunes Music Store, the fans will not have to be as disappointed. I think this possibility is real, since it was only recently that Apple Corps resolved its differences with Apple Inc. claiming infringement on the Apple name when the computer company became involved in the music business. Of course, die-hard fans will still not be satisfied with even a 256 kbps bit rate if actual CDs have any perceptible superiority in sound quality over the AAC compress sound files on the iTMS.

Looks like there are going to be a lot of returns of the mono box. To make sure I obtained a copy I ordered from three different retailers to make sure that I got one copy. Looks like I will be returning two copies. Wonder how many people bought up a bunch thinking they might make lots of $$$ on Ebay, I am glad that isn't going to happen. I say blame it on EMI (and me) , they start by saying that the mono box is going to be limited, it starts a frenzy of people (just like me) that buy them up. Ok, let's just get to 9/9/09, can't wait for both box sets!
