Kanye West Ruins Taylor Swift’s VMA Win

What’s eating Kanye West? For those of you who live on the east coast you were given an eye full of controversy thanks to the resident mad rapper. According to MTV, West and girlfriend Amber Rose were asked to leave this year’s Video Music Awards thanks to one of his famous rants. West barged onto the stage and interrupted Best Female Video winner Taylor Swift during her acceptance speech and was met with confusion, anger, and eventually boos.
In the category for Best Female Video, Swift won over VMA staple Beyonce, which apparently ignited a flame in Kanye West. When the country singer began to accept her award, the rapper took the mic and stated the following:
“Yo Taylor. I’m really happy for you. I’m gonna let you finish but Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time. One of the best videos of all time!”
From that point on the camera cut to various faces in the audience including Beyonce’s, who was clearly shocked at West’s behavior. After that there was nowhere to go but down. Throughout the ceremony whenever the rapper’s name was mentioned it was met with loud boos.Therefore it should come as no surprise that MTV took some major action, and asked the rapper to leave.
It turns out that at the end of the show Beyonce won the Video of the Year Award and asked Swift to come out onstage to have the moment she was robbed of earlier in the evening. I’m not even a big fan of Beyonce’s but I respect her for allowing Taylor to make up for lost time. According to the SFGate, after being ejected from the venue and speaking to Swift’s mother, West went to his blog to set the record straight.
“I’M SOOOOO SORRY TO TAYLOR SWIFT AND HER FANS AND HER MOM. I SPOKE TO HER MOTHER RIGHT AFTER AND SHE SAID THE SAME THING MY MOTHER WOULD’VE SAID. SHE IS VERY TALENTED! I LIKE THE LYRICS ABOUT BEING A CHEERLEADER AND SHE’S IN THE BLEACHERS! …….. I’M IN THE WRONG FOR GOING ON STAGE AND TAKING AWAY FROM HER MOMENT!…….. BEYONCE’S VIDEO WAS THE BEST OF THIS DECADE!!!! I’M SORRY TO MY FANS IF I LET YOU GUYS DOWN!!!! I’M SORRY TO MY FRIENDS AT MTV. I WILL APOLOGIZE TO TAYLOR 2MRW. WELCOME TO THE REAL WORLD!!!! EVERYBODY WANNA BOOOOO ME BUT I’M A FAN OF REAL POP CULTURE!!! NO DISRESPECT BUT WE WATCHIN’ THE SHOW AT THE CRIB RIGHT NOW CAUSE … WELL YOU KNOW!!!! I’M STILL HAPPY FOR TAYLOR!!!! BOOOYAAAWWWW!!!! YOU ARE VERY VERY TALENTED!!! I GAVE MY AWARDS TO OUTKAST WHEN THEY DESERVED IT OVER ME… THAT’S WHAT IT IS!!!!!!! I’M NOT CRAZY YALL, I’M JUST REAL. SORRY FOR THAT!!! I REALLY FEEL BAD FOR TAYLOR AND I’M SINCERELY SORRY!!! MUCH RESPECT!!!!!”
Sources are saying that Swift and her mother were seen crying backstage after the incident. I’m a fan of Kanye but what the hell? Beyonce was nominated for multiple awards this year and I’m sure she would have won at least one. For him to go off on Swift like that was ridiculous, he should have let her have her moment. I have let his rants slide in the past, but this was an all time low. This was truly a case of him needing to pick on someone his own size.

I'm the 1st to admit I've always been a Ye' fan, however 2 much is 2 much and it's as simple as that! It's amazing how a person can work sooo hard 2 achieve their status and then give up their life's work in a single instance. If we haven't learned anything from this I hope we've at least learned that their is always a bigger picture in LIFE and that it isn't always about YOU!! get a clue.
