Aerosmith’s Perry Bothered by Tyler Injury

Joe Perry is pissed. Aerosmith had to cancel their summer tour after Steven Tyler fell off stage during an August 5 performance in South Dakota, reports the Associated Press.

“The tour was building up to be a great tour, and I was pretty (upset), you know,” Perry said in an interview on Wednesday.

Tyler broke his left shoulder and needed 20 stitches in his head, which is why he was ordered by doctors to take time off, but while others may be concerned with Tyler’s well-being, Perry feels the frontman should “get his act together.” Sometime before that Tyler had also pulled a muscle in his leg and caused the band to miss out on approximately seven dates, Perry said.

The guitarist also added that he hasn’t spoken to Tyler recently:

“I haven’t talked to him in over five week. I don’t know what’s going on with him. I hear he’s getting better, but I don’t know I really don’t know what’s going on with him.”

Although Perry might be upset about the whole incident, Tyler’s time off is also serving as Perry’s catching up. The Aerosmith guitarist has been busy promoting his upcoming album Have Guitar, Will Travel, which is set for October 6.

Perry seems to be upset at something more than just cancelled dates giving that he hasn’t talked or visited his band mate in weeks, but as for Aerosmith, Perry believes there is still some life left in the old band.
