Flight of the Conchords Headed To Rock Band
By Jeffrey HyattAttention all those who don’t give a damn about Rock Band. It might be time to reconsider. Especially now that the (awesome) comedy folk duo Flight of the Conchords are coming to Rock Band.
Sure, The Beatles: Rock Band was pretty stellar, but this…this is why music + video gaming demands our attention!
Bret McKenzie, one half of the New Zealand duo with Jemaine Clement, told TV Guide in a video interview at the Emmy Awards that three of their songs would appear in the game.
Check the video clip below.
“There’s going to be three songs on Rock Band,” he said. “I’m serious. You’ll be able to look like The Beatles and play one of our songs.”
No word yet on what songs McKenzie and Clement are thinking of contributing to Rock Band. No doubt fans of the duo will have their three favorites lined up for the video game. “Foux De Fa Fa,” anyone?
The guys also haven’t confirmed when the songs would be available, but with a new album, I Told You I Was Freaky, set for release Oct. 26, most likely that is when the songs will show up.
Most likely the songs from FOTC would be available through the online store (as opposed to an individual disc). A full-fledged Flight of the Conchords Rock Band game would not suck either.
A petition demanding “Business Time” be part of the trio of FOTC tunes on Rock Band has begun!
What FOTC songs would you like to appear on Rock Band?
