Pavement Includes UK Dates For World Tour

If you’re a Pavement fan, or if you are just a BeatCrave fan (hopefully that’s why you’re here), then you know how excited we are for this Pavement reunion.
After last year’s rumors were a bust, it was a dream come true for us when Pavement actually confirmed that they were indeed going on a reunion tour. The first four shows in NYC have already all sold out and the next part of the world they plan to conquer is over sea with the Brits.
Yes, if your home is in the UK, Malkmus and the gang (and NOT The Jicks) will be playing a venue near you! According to NME (via Consequence of Sound), Pavement and Spiral Stairs member, Scott Kannberg says, “There definitely will be [UK gigs]. We’re looking at the summer time, but I’m not sure how much touring we’ll do.”
People are hoping they’ll fill a slot for the Glastonbury festival, but Kannberg doesn’t want us to count on that: “”We’ll do what we need to do to satisfy our fans and what would be fun, but we’re not going to do anything stupid, any big festivals that are really dumb.”
If they were to play a festival, it would definitely be easier for a more people to see a reunion show of theirs. However, since these glorious events are one of a kind, we completely understand what Kannberg is saying.
