It’s settled, Eminem won’t have to go to court with Apple. According to the Associated Press, Apple Inc. and Eminem’s music publisher, Eight Mile Style have settled a lawsuit over the digital downloading rights to many of the Detroit rapper’s songs.

In a report last week, we told you that Eminem and Apple had to agree on a deal concerning a lawsuit about whether or not the rapper’s music could be used on iTunes. Richard Busch, Eight Mile Style’s attorney, said Friday that a deal was reached late Thursday. The problem started after Eight Mile Style, claimed in a lawsuit that Apple had no right to use 93 of Eminem’s songs in a downloadable format on iTunes. Apple denied the allegations claiming that the downloads were authorized.

This isn’t the first time that Eminem has dealt with Apple (or is Apple dealing with Eminem, who knows?). In 2004, Eminem went after the company for using one of his songs in an iTunes TV commercial. Details on the settlement have not been disclosed. We don’t know what they have agreed on or who has the upper hand in the deal, but we’ll be sure to keep you updated.

What do you think of the Eminem Apple music war?
