Save the Date for Coachella 2010
Much like “Duck, duck, goose,” it also goes the same way for speculations and confirmations: “Rumor, rumor, fact.” We Internet geeks just eat this stuff up, so we want to throw another one at you.
As a side note to the unveiling of Stagecoach’s full line-up featuring country artists such as Keith Urban, Sugarland, and The Avett Brothers, Billboard has also confirmed our hunch by stating that Coachella 2010 will take place on the familiar grounds of Indio, California on April 16 – 18. This makes sense since the indie toting festival has repeatedly taken place one week before the country festival.
However, to add some more fuel to the fire, Billboard has also mentioned that there are major rumors going around about Pavement being one of the headliners! Yes; their reunion has been in the news a lot lately, but to tell you the truth – we can’t get enough of it.
If Pavement were actually confirmed as a Coachella 2010 headliner, this whole discourse on why New York gets everything first would be somewhat silenced for a while. Fingers crossed, last minute prayers, and mere hope will keep us going for this fantasy.
According to Consequence of Sound, only the band, Zoé, has been confirmed for Coachella. Other rumors include The Raveonettes, Thom Yorke, and Jack White. It’ll definitely be interesting to see who actually makes this year’s lineup with all these new bands, side projects, and collaborations happening right now.
All we can do now is… save the date.
