New Dead Weather Album is Halfway Done

The Dead Weather are a foursome of rockers who don’t waste anytime. Earlier this year, they released their debut album Horehound, and now their getting ready for album number two. Lead singer, Alison Mosshart, dropped by BBC Radio 1, and confirmed that the band is already half-way done and prepped to release their sophomore album before the year’s end. Two albums in one year? Yes. Crazy? Absolutely.

“The boys are extremely quick but the four [songs] that we do have I’m sure are on YouTube. I’m sure they’re everywhere.”

Mosshart is right about that and we took the liberty of finding a couple, just in case you haven’t already heard check them out below.

Mosshart also praised her skillful bandmate Jack White, who is everywhere nowadays — if he’s not touring with The Dead Weather, he’s directing videos and if he’s not doing that he’s working with Meg White; he’s one busy man.

“He’s [Jack White] a man with a billion ideas every single day. He works really hard and rarely sleeps,” Mosshart added.

The Dead Weather still have a load of shows left. If it’s true that this rock quartet is releasing another album before the ball drops, it’s likely that they will still be on tour. There is no set date for the album release, but we’ll keep you updated.
