The opening weekend for Where The Wild Things Are was this past weekend and we’ve heard that reactions are everything from crying like a baby to feeling like the movie has been over-hyped. Turning a classic children’s story into a feature film is a lot of responsibility to take on underneath all the pressure from the critics.
Music and film go hand in hand and tunes from a general library just doesn’t cut it these days. Both film and television have been promoting new artists and in return musicians have been earning royalties from commercials. So naturally, musicians have taken advantage of scoring films within the last few years. With that said, we want to know one thing: When you went and saw Where The Wild Things Are this weekend, did the music of Karen O and the Kids do it for you? Did the music belong?
