Stream: Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix (Remix Collection)
By Seraphina L.
Everyone likes a good remix album, but only when it’s done right. Parisian band, Phoenix, is one of the lucky ones.
We’ve previously told you of the upcoming remix collection of songs from their latest album, Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix, and now we’re excited to tell you that you can stream the entire album right now! Instead of waiting for them to tweet the latest remix or scour the blogosphere for each song, you’ve got tracks 1 -15 with one click. Check it out after the jump!
CBS Radio has premiered the album online here, and you can hear Animal Collective pull “Love Like A Sunset” into their otherworldly sounds while they still keep the energy of Phoenix in tact. Passion Pit, who told us they were good friends with the band, also seemed to perfectly mash both of their sounds on their rendition of “1901″ (Bo Flex’d). Other highlights include Friendly Fires and Chairlift‘s touches on “Fences” and Devendra Banhart putting that soft folk into “Rome.” It also doesn’t hurt that LA natives, The Soft Pack (formerly Muslims), knock it out on a track.
You can purchase Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix (Remix Collection) on iTunes.
