Poor Morrissey just can’t catch a break. Last week, we reported on the hypocrisy that’s being advertised on the singer’s concert tickets with the marketing of Denny’s hamburgers, which as an avid vegetarian he can’t be happy about. Now we hear he injured himself during a concert this weekend and was just released from the hospital.

According to MTV, Morrissey was “released from a British hospital on Sunday after falling ill during a show the night before and being rushed from the venue in an ambulance.” The 50 year old performer collapsed on stage Saturday while doing a show in the English town of Swindon. Reports are saying he was having a hard time breathing. An official statement was released from the artist’s camp and this is what they had to say regarding his health.

“Morrissey became unwell last night. He was admitted overnight as a precautionary measure,” a spokesperson said on Sunday morning. “He was seen this morning and was much improved and has now been discharged.” The singer’s representatives did not reveal any further information on the medical emergency or what caused it.

Here’s to hoping Morrissey stays in good health and spirits, because he has millions of fans all over the world willing for him to get better. We’ll keep you informed of any more developments regarding the singer’s condition.

Are you a fan of Morrissey? Do you think something more is going on that what’s being said?
