Pulp Reunion Not True Pulp Reunion Is Not True

Sadly, we got our hopes up too high when Jarvis Cocker hinted at a Pulp reunion in regards to Glastonbury Festival. To our dismay, there will NOT be a Pulp reunion.

Although Cocker teased us with phrases like “We’ve talked about it, there we go, there’ll be a band reunion,” he shattered our dreams when he denied the hopeful rumors in a recent interview.

According to Teletext (via Consequence of Sound), Cocker plainly stated:

“I can categorically tell Teletext that Pulp have no plans to get back together.  Someone asked me if I fancied playing at the 40th anniversary of Glastonbury, I said yes, they twisted that into a ‘Pulp reform’ story. It’s not true.”

We basically begged for it to come true, but Pulp’s leading man from long ago has decided to tame the media by putting his foot down.

All we kept thinking was: Pavement for ATP and Pulp for Glastonbury? 2010 would have been the most amazing year if we had gotten both bands back. At least it keeps getting better for Pavement fans. They were just announced as headliners for Primavera Sound Festival on May 27th, 2010. (That’s 16 dates now!)

However, come to think of it: Is Pulp the only band that we care about and HASN’T reunited?
