Jack White Says No To Slashs Collaboration Album Jack White Says No To Slashs Collaboration AlbumSlash, best known for his lead-guitar work in Guns N’ Roses, is putting out a new album which includes a ton of collaborations. He’s asked musicians such Flea, Dave Grohl, and Alice Cooper – all whom have said yes to teaming up.

However, Jack White, best known for his work in The White Stripes and now The Dead Weather, didn’t comply to Slash’s requests so easily.

According to NME, Slash had a certain song in mind for White to sing on and but White had to turn him down. He told Slash, “I’ll play drums, I’ll play guitar, but I don’t wanna sing.”

Apparently, Slash was not able to get him on board at all. In his disappointment, he also told the UK publication:

“I wanted to get Jack White to sing on something, but he didn’t want to sing [...] He was one guy that I wanted to work with. Pretty much everyone else that I went after I managed to get.”

The album is titled Slash & Friends, and according to Slash’s twitter account, he hopes it will be done by the end of November. The album release date is aimed for early 2010.

Do you think Jack White made a mistake by turning Slash down?
