Grizzly Bear Releases Video and Tour Dates
By Kara
Grizzly Bear is one of those bands that never fails to come up with crazy music videos as the majority of them are more like short films. The new video for the wonderful “Ready, Able” is no different. It’s directed by Allison Schulnik and is done in clay animation with colorful monsters that melt as one. It’s really is a trip. In other news, Grizzly Bear has extended their tour through the UK and Europe that will continue into the Spring of 2010.
Check out the video and tour dates below..
This has got to be one of the best songs on the album; it’s everything that Grizzly Bear does best. The video is definitely interesting, but somehow the video works with the song. You get sucked into all of the colors, the expressions of the monsters, and the music. Clay animation never ceases to amaze me with the attention to detail and the amount of time this must have taken. The video came out beautifully. It is strange, creepy, and exactly what you would expect from these guys, but you would have never thought of the idea.
