The supergroup Monsters of Folk composed of Jim James, Conor Oberst, M. Ward and Mike Mogis just keeps getting better and better. It wasn’t long ago that the quartet released their first album, so it should come as no surprise that they’ve been featured in our BeatCrave Fav series. For the most part, we’re glad when musicians set aside their precious time to start another amazing band and, in this case, the Monsters of Folk are no exception.

Their newest music video “Say Please” is a compliment to this exceptional band. Set possibly in the late stages of WWI, the video starts off with James, Ward, and Mogis as three soldiers who make their way into a serene town where everyone rollerblades. The trio, along with Oberst who is the only one dressed as a commoner, take to the stage to play their song. Although I have yet to figure out what the link is between the song and the video, the shots featured offer a very specific gesture, and well, when it comes to war, what more do you want?

Take a look:

What do you think of the Monsters of Folk “Say Please music video?
