Black Eyed Peas Manager Has Charges Withdrawn After Punching Perez Hilton

In June 2009, Perez Hilton and and Black Eyed Peas manager had a throw down after an argument back stage at the Much Music Video Awards. It started out with Hilton making homohphobic slurs toward Black Eyed Peas’ Will.I.Am and ended up with the band’s manager, Liborio “Polo” Molina, throwing the punches back as a reaction.
TMZ had caught it all on video, but Perez Hilton, himself, had twittered about the fight and made a video recalling the night’s event from his perspective. Hilton has millions of loyal fans (we’re not quite sure why), and a majority of them were concerned about his well-being. However, all charges against Molina had been dropped Wednesday morning. It looks like Hilton can’t even use his fan’s pity to win everything.
Hilton is known to be a very loud-mouthed and crass media personality and is rarely afraid to say anything on his mind aloud to others. However, when offensive comments are consistently thrown at one victim something was bound to happen.
The Star.com has even reported that Fergie had approached the celebrity blogger numerous times to request he tone down his homophobic comments toward the group online, but it apparently wasn’t good enough for Hilton. Many thing were not up to standard according to Hilton, and Molina’s apologetic statement was one of those things.
Molina’s lawyer read the statement aloud, which you can also watch here, emphasizing these following words:
“Even though you engaged in highly offensive comments, including a homophobic slur-towards my clients, I acknowledge that these kinds of issues should not be resolved through a physical response.”
Hilton says the statement was “trying to excuse his actions,” by referring to the insult. We can see how this may sound like an obligated apology, but do you blame the guy? Violence is never the answer, but when someone gently asks another to tone things down and the one taunting only fires things up, there are consequences! Most people with common sense maintain this piece of knowledge.
The wannabe celebrity eventually put up an apology, but it also sounds like he just doesn’t want to be the ultimate bad guy either. The court has accepted this resolution, but there are many who can’t get over Perez Hilton asking his Twitter followers to call the police for him. What do you think?
