A large majority of this equipment was given to NIN from musical instrument companies so he would use it and they would get some free advertising since the Artist used their gear. By selling it, and not either giving it back, or donating it to a charitable cause. (like a bunch of 16 year old kids from his hometown.) He will rightly look like a tool, and the next tour will get pretty expensive as he finds out first hand exactly what this stuff really costs.
