The Chesterfield Kings Perform Sunrise (Turn On)
By Krystal Clark
The contemporary garage band The Chesterfield Kings recently released their live concert album/DVD entitled, live onstage..if you want it, and they just unveiled a clip from the disc that includes a live rendition of the song, “Sunrise (Turn On).” The live album/DVD features electric and acoustic versions of tracks from the band’s previous albums, including Psychedelic Sunrise and Mindbending Sounds Of The Chesterfield Kings.
The show was filmed in their hometown of Rochester, New York for a local television series. The DVD/album combo is available in stores everywhere, and comes in an awesome vinyl DVD package. After watching the group’s performance of “Sunrise (Turn On),” you can easily tell that their from another time. The lead singer’s body movements remind me of old school Steven Tyler, or Axl Rose when he had a normal face.
They have an interesting style, and their music is truly psychedelic. If the rest of their DVD performances are this good I might have to go pick up a copy.
What do you think of their live performance?
