Weezer Cancels Upcoming Tour Dates

In the wake of Weezer bandmate Rivers Cuomo’s accident, several dates on the bands current tour have been cancelled. A couple of weeks ago the singer was hospitalized after his tour bus skidded off the road and landed in a ditch. Since then the group has been dealing with the aftermath of his condition. Therefore if you bought a ticket to one of their shows you might want to take a look at this list…
Here are the tour dates that have been cancelled via doctors orders for Rivers Cuomo.
- 12/7/2009 — Agganis Arena — Boston, MA
- 12/9/2009 — Patriot Center — Baltimore, MD
- 12/10/2009 — Susquehanna Center — Camden, NJ
- 1/9/2010 — Bill Graham Civic Auditorium — San Francisco, CA
- 1/11/2010 — UCI Bren Events Center — Irvine, CA
- 1/13/2010 — RIMAC Arena — La Jolla, CA
- 1/15/2010 — Dodge Theatre — Phoenix, AZ
Refunds will be given at point of purchase.
This is one of the few times where a band has a legitimate reason to cancel a show, and unlike some artists they’re actually issuing you a refund. It’s good to see people in the industry who recognize we’re in a recession. Who knows how much their tickets set fans back. Get well Rivers.
