John Lennon’s Hollywood Star Mysteriously Disappears
By Seraphina L.
At first glance, John Lennon‘s Hollywood star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame looks as if it has been stolen. LAist reports that the star mysteriously disappeared leaving only an empty outline of the star which is currently covered with a trash bag.
The Los Angeles online magazine got a tip through an e-mail and fans on the Beatlestweets site are claiming that it is “missing.” The question is… Has it been stolen or is there some type of construction in regards to the star that the public just doesn’t know about yet?
Two logical reasons that are offered (compared to an explanation of theft) include the following:
First off, the star was damaged and probably needed to be removed in its entirety from the sidewalk for repair. Secondly, Ringo Starr‘s star is one of the 28 stars to be added in 2010 to celebrate Walk of Fame’s 50th year anniversary, according to BeatlesBible.com. They could be preparing room for Starr’s place!
When LAist called for info on Lennon’s missing star, they were told that the only person who could yield any credible information was out on vacation until January 4. Until then or until the star is properly placed back into its location, Beatles fans will just have to calm down and wait it out.
What do you think really happened to John Lennon’s Hollywood star?

It's with the acorns J & Y planted in 1968 that were stolen from the Coventry Cathedral grounds a week after they were dug in. Luckily there's an exhibition Give Peace A Chance that is opening there Feb. 26, 2010 of photos of John and Yoko at the Bed-in for Peace 1969 Montreal which celebrates for the first time Lennon's message of peace which he tried to hard to share in 1968.
