Lil Wayne To Play Jesus Alongside T-Pain

We know, we know. What a title for a post! Although many fans of Lil Wayne already consider him as a god, we will now actually get to hear the MC speak as God. He may be going to the slammer for attempting criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree, but he sure is making us remember his name while he’s in there.

According to Billboard, Wayne will be speaking to us from above – but in cartoon form. Apparently, there is an Adult Swim special coming up called “Freakniks” and since his buddy, T-Pain, is behind this gig, the rapper gets to play Jesus Christ for a day. Jesus Christ… More after the jump!

Billboard also reports that T-Pain will have a role as “the ghost of Spring Break past.” Maybe his character will also say he’s on a boat. “Freakniks” is slated to appear on Adult Swim on March 21 via Cartoon Network.

Are we surprised? Not really. Cartoon Network has had its share in how to portray Jesus. If you’ve got time, check out this freaky but hilarious show called, Lucy Daughter of the Devil. Jesus is a Latino hippie who is a DJ (and a ladies man) and the devil wears a sweater Bill Cosby gave him. Enough said, right?

Lil Wayne playing Jesus is just a little ridiculous, but we’re sure his fans will eat it up. We probably won’t be watching it when it happens, but we’ll definitely catch it after it floats around in the blogosphere for a microsecond.
