Concert Tickets: Alkaline Trio, Owl City, Vampire Weekend…
By Brian SpiegelThe long Christmas (or holiday break, depending on your Fox News “War on Christmas” stance) is over and the concert machine is cranking up again. January is going to be a huge month for tickets so be sure to plan your purchases accordingly. Here we go…
Headliner: The Alkaline Trio
Opener: Cursive
Dates: February 16th in Pomona, CA thru April 2nd in West Hollywood, CA. Find all dates here (and no, all dates are not within the greater Los Angeles area).
Price: $18-$25
What’s The Deal?: While it might seem a little weird on paper, this is easily the best concert pairing that I can remember in the last few years. Expect impassioned sing-a-longs for both bands.
Tickets on sale: Saturday.
Headliner: Owl City
Opener: Lights and Paper Route
Dates: March 30th in Boise, ID thru May 2nd in Milwaukee, WI. Find all dates here.
Price: Can you truly put a price on hearing “Fireflies” live? Well, promoters did, and it’s around $25.
What’s The Deal?: After playing small clubs on their first tour, Owl City graduates to small theaters for their second one in support of their hit album ” Ocean Eyes “. If your planning your night accordingly I’m guessing you’ll have to wait around till the end of their set to catch “Fireflies”.

Festival: The Bamboozle California
Who Is Playing: March 27th: AFI, The Bouncing Souls, Say Anything and more; March 28th: Something Corporate, The Maine, FUN. and more. Lineups here.
Dates: March 27th and 28th in Anaheim, CA.
Price: $50-$100
What’s The Deal?: I know I told you about this last month but they finally added some bands. March 27th looks to be coming together a bit. On the other hand, outside of Something Corporate March 28th kind of sucks. Stay tuned for many more bands… hopefully better ones.
