MGMT Auctions Monster Heads From Kids Video

All donations will be accepted. That’s usually the case. If you’ve read about how you can help with the Haiti Earthquake Relief, then you know any donations to any charity are meaningful in any possible way – even if they’re a little odd. That’s where MGMT comes in.
This duo has never been straight-laced or proper. Opting to dance with half-naked people in the forest or making an album that seems almost savage like in terms of persona and electronica has put MGMT out of the “normal” category. We like it though because we like different strokes of genius. However, the latest news we heard about MGMT puts us in a a state of consternation.
Remember those freaky animal heads in their video for hit song, “Kids?” Well, they’re playing nice and putting them up for auction on eBay. Now those horrifying masks can be all yours! If that’s your kind of thing…
What’s even more odd than those creepy heads is the fact that they will be giving all eBay proceeds to a children’s charity called the Children Art Foundation, according to Pitchfork. The foundation caters to bringing arts to underprivileged children and we commend MGMT’s offer to raise money. It’s just that those things are scary! We’re glad it’s not the children who are actually getting those terrifying donations.
