The Killers Announce Their Hiatus
By Laura Aguirre
The last decade has been nothing but successful for The Killers. They’ve headlined Coachella and reached Grammy-nominated status, but now Brandon Flowers and his mates announced they’ll be taking a hiatus following their show in Melbourne, Australia on February 21st.
Here’s what guitarist Dave Keuning told the Associated Press on the matter:
“I’m not sure if people are aware of it but these are probably our last shows of a while. Unless some surprise thing comes up… We’re having a break. We haven’t had a break in quite a while. It’s just been touring and making records and on and on and on. It’s been like six years just kind of connected together.”
After three back-to-back records, the Las Vegas’ Killers are going home. Keuning didn’t give a date for when the band might return. It’s official folks, the break is happening and who knows, it could be a long one.
Here’s a list of shows left on the Killers’ calendar:
- 1/24 Singapore Indoor Stadium Singapore
- 1/26 Workers Gymnasium Beijing
- 1/29 Asia World Arena Hong Kong
- 1/31 SM Concert Grounds Pasay City
- 2/4 Zepp Tokyo Tokyo, Tokyo
