The multi-network telethon will have contributions from some of the biggest names in film, sports, and politics. The music industry is also lending their talents to the event by performing from all over the world. Superstars such as Madonna, Rihanna, Bruce Springsteen, Taylor Swift and more will all be involved.
According to the Associated Press, the two-hour broadcast will take place in New York, Los Angeles, London and Haiti. Other musical performances include Stevie Wonder, Beyonce, Jay-Z, U2‘s Bono and The Edge, Coldplay, Keith Urban and more.
George Clooney, who has put the telethon together, will be hosting the Los Angeles portion on television. He expressed his concerns with MTV by stating, “It’s a big world out there, and we all have a lot of responsibility to help out people who can’t help themselves.”
Musician, Wyclef Jean, who has been very vocal about his feelings will be performing and hosting from New York while CNN’s Anderson Cooper will be reporting from Haiti, and Rihanna, Beyonce, Jay-Z and more will be performing in London as part of the broadcast.
