Laura Marling will soon be back with a new album on March 22, 2010 and with this new album, she’s got a new look and a new sound. We know Marling as the fragile looking blond who sang haunting folk-pop songs about manic depression, ghosts and dolls. In her second single off of upcoming album, I Speak Because I Can, “Devil’s Spoke” digs deeper into a heavier folk sound almost veering into an unknown world with its tribal beats. Check the video out below!
The video which accompanies the song has Marling in dark brown hair this time around but still manages to intrigue us with those powerful eyes. Her former combination of pale skin and blond hair made her come off soft and mysterious but her new look seems to reflect the stronger tone in her songwriting.
