Poll: Should Robert Pattinson Sign A Record Deal With Simon Cowell?
By Seraphina L.Oh, Twi-hards. Your dreams of holding an album by the one and only pasty yet sparkling Robert Pattinson may be coming true! Simon Cowell, who has produced albums of Leona Lewis and Il Divo, has his heart set on signing Rpattz to a record deal. Word from E! and Celebuzz has everyone talking about the American Idol judge getting deliriously giddy over the thought of making the Twilight star a pop star as well.
The only thing stopping this Idol-vamp merge is Pattinson, himself. Even though Cowell is willing to do anything to sign the actor-sometimes-singer-songwriter, friends of the teen heartthrob are saying Pattinson is being more than hesitant about the offer.
According The Sun’s sources,
“Robert is reluctant to be turned into a pop star—he takes his music very seriously. He is a bit wary of signing up with Cowell, who is, of course, associated with X-Factor and pop.”
Well, we would think any one who has the decency to even consider himself as a possible Jeff Buckley (biopic-wise) would think twice about jumping into the world of pop stardom. Pattinson has contributed to first Twilight soundtrack with two songs he hand his friends have written together, but his style isn’t exactly mainstream pop. Sounding more like Van Morrison and Tom Waits, Pattinson may be more concerned about scoring films (possibly Eclipse) or just producing albums on his own.
What do you think?

I hope he focuses on acting for right now. I'm not sure I like Simon getting his hands on our Robert! I want to see him in more movies for now, and then later maybe he can spend some time on his music.
