Broken Bells Music Video: The High Road

Broken Bells, the team-up between The Shins‘ James Mercer and Danger Mouse, have just released a video for their first single, ‘The High Road.” For a song that has the perfect amount of electronic elements that easily melt into the indie and almost soft-rock we’re accustomed to hearing with Mercer’s vocals, the video seems just about right. However, by right, we don’t mean normal either.

Just as these two artists collide with one another with their different genres, the pair walking down a highway seem to run into abnormal events. For instance, they run into a kid and steal his toy, they find a burlesque dancer who walks away from them, and come upon a car accident scene which their doppelgangers have been involved in. Overall, it’s an odd storyline but just about right for this unusual team-up. Watch the video below and let us know what you think!
