Watch: of Montreal Joined By Susan Sarandon and Solange On Stage
of Montreal has gone through many new phases since their formation in 1996. Their outlandish sets with characters to bring shock factor during their live performances have become a major of Montreal characteristic within the last few years. The more shocking something is on stage while they sing their hearts out, the crazier the crowd gets.
Last night, the band’s show at Manhattan’s Highline Ballroom was no exception. In fact, it was probably one the greatest live sets thanks to Susan Sarandon and Solange who joined them on stage last night. We’ve got videos for you below!
Susan Sarandon has always been a fun person no matter how serious her acting roles are and she proves how light-hearted and cool she can be for a woman her age. We’re not exactly sure why Sarandon crashed of Montreal’s set, (perhaps she feels a new liberation after splitting up with long-time beau, Tim Robbins at the end of 2009), but we’re glad she did. Who ever expected to see Susan Sarandon spanking male pigs with a ruler on stage during an of Montreal song?

Later on, Solange came out on stage to sing Jackson 5’s “I Want You Back” with of Montreal lead vocalist, Kevin Barnes. Not only is Solange beginning to become a regular name within the indie world despite the fact that she is an R&B singer, but she will also be featured on of Montreal’s next album instead of her sister, Beyonce. Watch and listen to Solange and Barnes below. They both sound great!
