While I try and find a way to swing a full, three-day Coachella ticket since the powers-that-be decided that one-day concert goers are not welcome (anyone want to buy a kidney?), please enjoy this week’s full slate of concerts on sale for YACHT, Washed Out, The National and more.
Headliner: YACHT
Openers: Bobby Birdman
Dates: February 19th in Vancouver, BC thru March 26th in Los Angeles, CA. Find all dates here.
Price: Varies from venue to venue but think mid-range indie rock prices.
Whats The Deal: Usually just a two-some on the road, electro-pop underground hero’s Yacht have enlisted a full band for this trek in support of their recently released “See Mystery Lights” record. Indie fans rejoice.

Whats The Deal: Full disclosure: I’ve never heard of any of these bands. With that said, the indie-blogosphere seems to be going ape-shit over this tour using such word’s as “new wave”, “hypnagogic pop” and “noise-dance” to describe the band’s sounds. These descriptions not only show that this might be an intriguing grouping but also that Pitchfork seems to be making up words now.

Whats The Deal: Yep, you know the deal: The National, the band you ether love’s or hate , is back with a new album and a full slate of new dates. While the new tour just hits major cities, expect a more extensive tour later this year.
