Watch: Trailer For New Gorillaz Album
By Jeffrey Hyatt
Not sure how many upcoming albums have computer-animated preview trailers to whip up the anticipation, but Plastic Beach from the Damon Alban/Jamie Hewlett project Gorillaz surely does; an orchestral trailer that may or may not provide clues as to what fans can expect from the long-awaited new album.
Set for release on March 8, Plastic Beach features a top-notch lineup of guest: Mos Def, Bobby Womack, Lou Reed, Snoop Dogg and De La Soul, to name a few, plus Clash duo Mick Jones and Paul Simonon performing together on the title track. Plastic Beach is the first new album for Gorillaz since 2005’s Demon Days.
