Lanterns: BeatCrave Fav

Lanterns – the punk rock foursome recognized largely by their hometown of San Diego, Calif., – is on the verge of breaking new territory. We don’t know how long they’ve remained relatively undetected, but having heard their sound for the first time was like hitting solid gold. Now, while there are about three other bands out there named as similarly as one can get to these guys, do not be mistaken – only this brand’s substance, energy, and strong presence could’ve caught our attention the way it did, what with a pleasant and concise melodic and instrumental construct (read: drums and guitar!).

Lanterns’ four-track EP, Apocalypse Youth, is a super potent pill that will string you across a spectrum, thus far a goal met without much trouble.
