MTV ceased to be relevant to the music world years ago, and the internet finished off what relevancy they had. MTV's draw was to keep viewers tuned in for hours at a time, hoping to see their favorite video. Why would anyone do that when all they have to do now is look up the video they want to see on YouTube?

Of course they won't drop the "M"…after all, they're remarketing it at the TV for the "Millennial" generation, so "MTV" will now stand for "Millennial TV."
