Alexander McQueen and Lady Gaga Connected With Bad Romance

The fashion world mourned one of it greatest designers of this generation as a public statement was sent out regarding Alexander McQueen‘s death this morning. According to the AFP, The British designer, who was also known simply as Lee McQueen, was found dead inside a London apartment. Although investigations have yet to make official confirmations, it is apparent that it may have been suicide.

Known for influencing many other designers with his avant-guard designs head of his time, McQueen was also a major influence on general pop culture. He’s dressed everyone from Nicole Kidman to Sarah Jessica Parker, and singers such as Rihanna and Victoria Beckham. However, he was more well in tune with the music industry than the world may have known.

Lady Gaga also had a close connection with the late designer. She not only premiered her song, “Bad Romance,” In Paris at one of his fashion shows but McQueen also had a large part in styling Gaga for the video. In the photo above, you can see various outfits all designed by McQueen himself. Everything from the 10-inch skeleton-like and lobster-shaped high heels to the glasses and the gold jackets she wore in the video were all hand picked especially for Gaga.

It made sense that the two would eventually paired up together since McQueen has been known to use real bones in his designs. Gaga’s fashion sense had always been outrageous and McQueen was not one to shy away from it. He only drew inspiration from it and gave Gaga all his results.

According to Popeater, McQueen’s publicist had even called Gaga his “unofficial muse” and their eccentric and out of the box ideas meshed well together. However, with his death, fashion in pop music may never be the same again. We wonder if Lady Gaga will able to cope with such a friend whose sense of style out-ruled the norms as much as she liked to.

Everyone had always been thankful for the designer’s existence as he was always groundbreaking with every new idea he put forward in fashion. We only wish his friends and family well and thank him for adding his touch to pop music.
