Gorillaz New Single Stylo in Two Versions
By Anet HovhanesianThe popular virtual band, Gorillaz are back with their first single, “Stylo”, off of their third studio album, Plastic Beach. The song has been described as dark and twisted, and we have two different versions for you to check out.The first one features a popular rapper named Tinie Tampah from South London, while the second highlight’s New York’s own Mos Def. Listen to both versions below…
The first is the Labrinth Remix and it has a decent techno beat to it, while the second version involves respected MC Mos Def alongside soul legend Bobby Womack. It’s definitely more old school hip hop and it brings the back the 1980′s vibe. It’s actually my favorite between the two.
The new Gorillaz album will be released on March 9th in the U.S and will feature a diverse group of artists from Snoop Dogg and De La Soul to The Lebanese National Orchestra for Oriental Arabic Music. Sounds like an interesting bunch. From the diverse featured artists to the different versions of the first single, if anything, this album will have something for everyone.
