With the recently released and rather excellent Live Anthology box set in the rear-view mirror, Tom Petty And The Heartbreakers are ready to tackle new endeavors – namely a new album and tour. Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers have just released details of a North American tour, which kicks off May 6 in Raleigh, N.C., and will be in support of the forthcoming album Mojo, the band’s first studio album in eight years.

To make the tour even better, special guests Joe Cocker, Drive-By Truckers, ZZ Top, My Morning Jacket and Crosby, Stills and Nash will split up opening act duties.

Check below for the complete tour schedule.

Tickets go on sale beginning Monday, March 8 at LiveNation.com. All tickets purchased online will include an MP3 download of every track on Mojo.

Mojo is Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers’ twelfth studio album.

To make things a little extra special for fans, every online ticket purchased to the tour comes with an MP3 download copy of Mojo, delivered via email on the album’s release date, scheduled for this spring.

Upon purchasing their ticket to the tour fans will receive an email with codes entitling them to download two tracks from Mojo right away. The tracks are “First Flash Of Freedom” and “Good Enough.”

Also included with every online ticket purchase – delivered at the end of the 2010 tour – will be a selection of eight, live tracks recorded during the tour.

You can already stream “Good Enough” over at TomPetty.com — easily one of the very best artist websites on the planet.
