Love Marriage Auto tune Gone Too Far Love Marriage: Auto tune Gone Too Far?

Auto-tune. Thanks to T-Pain and Kanye, it’s become a fad that just won’t go away. People who can’t sing use the audio processing technique to hide their inability to sing and some artists who are actually decent singers use it to merely join the popularity train in mainstream music. It’s a shame too because although music in the United States is heavily influenced by other music cultures in the world, it also goes the other way around.

For example, a man named Wilbur Sargunaraj has concocted a perfect example of how much music in the States have an effect on artists around the world. We’re not sure how big of an “artist” Sargunaraj is but he did provide the video for “Love Marriage” below where he informs listeners that he would rather have a “love match” rather than an arranged marriage. Of course, the entire song is in auto-tune.

Entertaining as the video is, has the auto-tune gone too far? Is there a power in this musical strategy that should be stopped? Take a look below…

Has the use of auto-tune gone too far?
