Tom Morello To Help Score Iron Man 2
By Travis Woods
Iron Man 2 just got another layer of metal slapped onto its shiny red and gold exterior – Tom Morello, who made his name as the blisteringly phenomenal guitarist for Rage Against the Machine only to then attempt to murder rock ‘n roll completely with the horrible, horrible Audioslave, will be contributing to John Debney’s score for the upcoming superhero flick, according to Metal Insider.
Morello, who also added his slash and burn guitar kinetics to the first Iron Man film in 2008 (as well as playing the ‘Insurgent #5’ roughed up by Robert Downey Jr.’s titular hero), announced the news yesterday on his Twitter feed:
“Is that really me in Iron Man? Of course. Iron Man kicks my ass. I’m working on score for Iron Man 2. Rockin. Movie is awesome.”
In addition to Morello (whose soundtrack contributions include Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story, Spider-Man, and Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby), the Iron Man 2 soundtrack will be comprised entirely of songs from AC/DC, meaning that no matter how good or bad the film is, your second cousin who lives in San Bernadino and drag races his ’86 Pontiac Fiero on weekends is going to love it. Bitchin.
What do you think? Is Tom Morello’s guitar a good fit for Iron Man 2‘s action spectacle?

The trailer is sick, especially the part with Mickey Rourke smirking, slashing the chains on the speedway.
