Steel Train: Concert Review and Photos
Mar 11, 2010 - By Seraphina L.It was another night at Bardot for their Lo-Fi series, but of course BeatCrave doesn’t go out to see “just another band.” Following Manifest Equality on Saturday night, we went right over to catch a set by New Jersey’s rock band, Steel Train. As a band who has traveled on the road for most of their existence, Steel Train turned a small show at a small Hollywood club into a night much bigger than expected.
Not only does Steel Train boast some of the best upbeat pop tunes in their rock music, but the fact that all five guys can shred on their instruments as they simultaneously sing in harmony has us set as fans. If you know us at BeatCrave, we’re suckers for harmonies and opportunities to see an entire band with five mics all lined up in a row like that are unfortunately limited.
The energy which Steel Train brought into the room was infectious with lovable songs like “Firecracker” and even as our third event of the day, this band did a superb job of keeping us on our feet. Zealous vocals and a camaraderie on stage were deliriously contagious. Standing out as a band is a task in itself, but attention toward a band like Steel Train instantly becomes a given during the first song of their set.
