DMX Rapper DMX Going Back to Jail

Rapper DMX, born Earl Simmons, was ordered by a judge to spend six months in a Phoenix jail after violating his probation. The 38-year old must also undergo a mental health evaluation, which under the circumstances of the events he’s been involved with over the last couple years makes perfect sense.

DMX is responsible for hits such as “Party Up,” “What These B*tches Want,” “We Right Here,” and “Lord Give Me a Sign.”  He created hit album after hit album during the late 90′s and the early 2000′s. With his gruff voice and gangster mentality he was respected and emulated throughout his career.

Musically he frequently collaborated with producer Swizz Beatz and the two created many hits together. Although music was his true calling he was a double threat. DMX was also a talented actor. He co-starred in a few box office gems like Romeo Must Die with Jet Li and the late Aaliyah, Exit Wounds with Steven Seagal and Andrzej Bartkowiak’s Cradle to The Grave.

It makes me sad to think a rapper of his caliber has come to this point. Maybe this stint in jail will straighten him out?

What do you think of DMX and his constant run-ins with the law?
