Hole Reveals Cover Art and Tracklist For Nobody’s Daughter

Hole‘s leading lady, Courtney Love, has had her ups and down throughout life with one of them being estranged from her own daughter, Frances Bean. However, she’s been busy with of plenty of other tasks to keep her mind off of her woes. Although 1998′s Celebrity Skin had some catchy mainstream tunes such as the title track, it didn’t receive much critical acclaim.
Yet with new album, Nobody’s Daughter, and even with the fact that Love is the only original member currently in the band, there already seems to be a bit more substance.
According to our buddies over at Consequence of Sound, Hole has revealed the artwork for Nobody’s Daughter (above) as well as the track list. The cover sports a Victorian theme with just the body of a female holding a rose and is cut off right above the neck. There is a subtlety to that visual in regards to the theme of loss and the search for answers; one of the songs titled “Letter To God” is obviously a monologue about Love and her daughter.
Hole was also at SXSW last week and for those of you who deem yourself lucky for actually getting into the venue or missing them by 4 people in line, we can imagine you’re all pretty stoked about this new version of Hole. However, if you’re one of those people who don’t necessarily love the band nor hate them (and definitely didn’t want to waste your time in line), check out some of the videos from SXSW that surfaced.
