Conduit Labs, known for its Facebook game Music Pets, has recently struck a deal with Universal Music Group and plenty of other indie rock labels such as Domino, Beggars Group, DFA, Downtown Records and Modular. However, Universal Music Group is licensing the game company the largest amount of music for all their games.

This means artists such as Lady Gaga and Rihanna will be part their social media games such as Superdance and Loudcrowd as well, making the music available to more than 1 million users.

Condiut Lab’s games are free-to-play games where users play a series of music-themed activities but they can also purchase songs from all the artists who are licensed from the record labels. The gist of their games basically allow users to purchase virtual items which personalize their experience within the social media realm. It’s a virtual world where avatars are used and music playlists play a big part of the platform as Conduit Labs shares revenue from sales of UMG’ music an record label, according to TechCrunch.

The licensing agreement between the two companies include Lil’ Wayne, The Killers, Beck, Kanye West, Black Eyed Peas, Weezer, Justin Bieber and more. TechCrunch also reports that Conduit Labs has already raised another 3 million dollars in its userbase.
