Signals Music Video: What Dreams
By Seraphina L.
Signals hasn’t been around for that long but what we’ve seen and heard from them so far has soothed our woes about The Mae Shi losing three of its core members. The trio has just finished putting together a 7″ record with the tracks “Silvlerfish” and “What Dreams.” They’ll be selling them at shows but if it’s going to be a while until you get one, check out their video for the latter.
It involves staring into the camera, dogs, and what looks like peanut butter.
For the first few seconds, you may feel a little odd as you just watch Jon, Jacob and Bill stare at you while dogs lick their ears, their necks, and their faces. It’s hard to see the peanut butter (at least that’s what we think that goop on their face is) at first, until all these random people show up in the video sitting there with the same thing happening to them. There are a few moments where you can actually see someone else’s hand spread that goop all over their faces so the dogs never stop.
Jon and Jacob are able to keep a straight face for the most part in the beginning, but once Bill makes a face everyone else does too. We feel kind of bad for the girl who is obviously mouthing “Ow!” after one dog actually bites her in the ear. Check the video out below and let us know what you think!
