Best Coast Music Video: When I’m With You

Best Coast (Bethany Consentino + Bobb Bruno) finally have an official video for their hit track, “When I’m With You.” Instead of some old 50s footage many have gotten used to seeing paired up with the song, the new video sports some unlikely team-ups. For instance, it opens up with the waves crashing against the sandy shore as we hear those familiar Consentino’s introductory vocals, but we are taken aback by the sight of her getting cozy with Ronald McDonald (who is sporting a BC patch on his outfit btw) and holding hands with him.

We watch the famous clown court her as they go biking on the peer, driving around in his jeep, stopping by In N’ Out, and drinking some beers. I’m generally not a fan of clowns but if the lead singer of Best Coast finds him pretty fun to hang out with, perhaps I should reconsider. Directed by Emmy award winner, Pete Ohs, it’s as quirky as we expected for this surf-pop band from Los Angeles.

In other news, the band has also announced the chance for you to get some free merch along with their music. To make the release of  their 7″ (Far Away) a little special, they’ve teamed up with headphone brand eskuché. The brand has made the release a part of their special edition vinyl series titled “Obsessive Compulsive Frequency”, following last year’s”Vol.1: One Day” promo by The Juan Maclean.

Limited to 500 copies, the exclusive collaboration will be available at select lifestyle retail outlets for free with purchase of a pair of eskuché headphones worldwide. The 7″ features the all-new, previously unreleased tracks entitled “Far Away” and “Everyone’s Gone.”
