In this day and age, where the internet is a huge tool for self-promotion, it’s easier for bands to break into the music industry although it’s harder for them to compete, unless they’re willing to find and edge. With that said, there’s a new UK band called Treetop Flyers sparking some buzz with their new “stunning” EP titled To Bury The Past. Sure, you can just head on over to their Myspace page and give them a demo listen, but the boys of Flyers are also allowing you to download a song, or the whole EP, free of charge. See, isn’t the internet great? Download or listen to their free MP3 below…

Flyers is five-piece band founded by Tomer Danan and Reid Morrison. Their music is heavily influenced by American bands of the 60s and 70s, being that one of the founders (Danan) is an American. If I had to compare them to any of todays band, it would probably be Those Darlins because Flyers also have this cool country thing going. Most of the time, this style, seems to be overlooked, but if people would take the time to listen to it, they would see how relaxing and beautiful this music could be. It’s definitely my cup of tea.

So check out Flyers. Download a free song (Mountain Song). Heck, download the whole EP (To Bury The Past), you might just find yourself remembering the 60s — even if you weren’t there.
